Raise is currently hiring a permanent, full-time team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- Surveyor II is an intermediate-level role within the Surveyor job family.
- The incumbent performs hands-on technical activities to support pipeline construction and design projects.
- This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and documenting survey data while ensuring compliance with client’s safety policies, operational standards, and technical procedures.
- The Surveyor II works with increasing independence and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to meet project expectations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment in accordance with company standards.
- Drive company vehicle to job sites and ensure safe transport of equipment.
- Collect as-constructed survey data on active pipeline construction projects.
- Set construction stakes and benchmarks to support field operations.
- Conduct topographic surveys for pipeline design and layout.
- Survey control points and assist in establishing site calibrations.
- Collect land boundary information under the direction of leadership.
- Create stakeout points and plans using AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Generate CAD drawings using survey data, ensuring adherence to company standards and standard procedures.
- Coordinate schedules and project expectations with stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and timely documentation of survey activities.
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of client’s Safety Policies and Procedures and act in accordance with them at all times.
Qualifications
- Required experience: 2 years as a Surveyor I or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of land surveying theories and principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Proficiency in Trimble Business Center.
- Proficiency in Trimble GNSS and conventional survey equipment and software.
- Effective verbal and written communication skill.
- Ability to analyze drawings and specifications and make sound decisions.
- Strong planning and organization skills.
- Effective computer skills.
- Ability to obtain Operator Qualifications (OQ).
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work both independently and in a team.
- Exposure to Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and remote sensing/aerial photogrammetry.
- Occasional overtime will be expected depending on project needs.
