Assembler

  • Pay Rate: $18-$27/hour, final hourly rate will depend on experience.
  • Contract Length: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Location: Shreveport, LA 71129 (Onsite) 
  • Shift Details: Day Shift | Night Shift
  • Additional Information: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components of all products, selecting the correct tools and fixtures.
  • Test assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the
  • assembly and testing of products.
  • Read blueprints; identify components.
  • Use pertinent tools and rework techniques; operate
  • equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Create labor records for all transactions.
  • Ensure good housekeeping within own work area.
  • Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to relating Risk Assessments.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous
  • improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Must be mechanically adept,
  • Able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written and oral instructions; write legibly.
  • Experience working with assembly related operations or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa
  • Sponsorship.
