We’re Hiring! Our key client is growing like crazy and adding a QA/QC Inspector to their team.
Pay Rate: Up to $26/hour, depending on experience.
Work Type: Onsite – Pasadena, TX 77507
Duration: 6-month with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Work Rotation Schedule:
* 7-day shifts [6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (7 days)]
* 7 days off
* 7-night shifts [6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (7 nights)]
* 3 days off
* 4 short night shifts [8:00 PM – 6:00 AM (4 nights)]
* 7 days off
Training Schedule:
* Week 1
* Five 8-hour days (Mon-Fri) | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
* Week 2
* Four 10-hour nights (Mon-Thu) | 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
* Week 3
* Two 8-hour nights (Mon-Tue) | 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM
* Two 12-hour nights (Wed-Thu) | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
* Week 4
* Two 8-hour days (Mon-Tue) | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
* Two 12-hour days (Wed-Thu) | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
* Performs inspection of various operations activities.
* Identifies and reports non- conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods.
* May perform final adjustments.
* Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
* May be responsible for conducting the magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts and initiating and processing non-conformance reports.
* Assures that all products and processes represent the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Chemistry preferred but not required
* Multi-tasking.
* Basic MS functions (Excel, Word, etc.).
* Basic chemistry.
* Effective communication.
* Open to constructive criticism.
* Ability to work well with others.
* Knowledge that this is an entry-level position
