Senior Technical Business Analyst
- Pay rate: $60.00 – $66.00/hour (based on experience)
- Contract Length: 2 months
- Location: Calgary, AB; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office per week unless otherwise requested
Raise is currently hiring a Senior Business Analyst team member on behalf of our client, a leading Canadian airline. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Job Overview
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements to support projects aimed at streamlining cross-organizational processes. This role will focus on improving operational efficiency and reducing costs by minimizing manual work, shortening payment delays, and enhancing collections effectiveness. By optimizing end-to-end processes through automation, best practices, and the use of a single ERP system (JDE), the Senior Business Analyst will help drive cost synergies, strengthen internal controls, and build scalable processes to support long-term business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for eliciting, facilitating, analyzing, validating and documenting business requirements using a broad technical background then translating them into a business solution.
- They will play an instrumental role in ensuring assigned workstream deliverables harmonize with other cross functional teams.
- Provide business analysis and be able to apply this through effective communication on varying levels of leadership.
- Work with stakeholders through developing strong interpersonal relationships in order to deliver on identified business requirements.
Key Deliverables:
- Fully developed and ready to implement integration plans across 4 key programs: Airline, Commercial, Tour Operations and Enterprise.
- Must be able to articulate and visualize scope of work if not already done.
- Understand current processes and system touch points to document potential new business processes.
- Lead business process walkthrough and design sessions for the purpose of effectively scoping and assessing the impact of anticipated change to complex business processes, organization, and systems for the integration of 2 entities.
- Meet with process owners and subject matter experts to define and document business, financial, and operational goals and objectives related to the desired end state of integration.
- Identify business needs through requirement gathering sessions and documentation
- Consult on solutions and design to ensure requirements are being delivered
- Identify any interdependencies across multiple workstreams
Qualifications:
- Deep experience as a business analyst supporting large / complex enterprise initiatives.
- Strong technical competencies, including experience and or certifications
- Experience in data analysis / technical project management tools and software (ex: MS Project, Jira, Python, Tableau, etc.).
- Must possess proven knowledge and skill in business analysis and be able to apply this through effective communication on varying levels of leadership.
- Excellent written/verbal skills, strong collaborator.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Finance projects.
- Experience with Test Coordination.
